Ethraa Career Fair Concludes In Dubai With Strong Participation From Emirati Job Seekers
The 8th Ethraa Career Fair in Dubai concluded with notable participation from Emirati talents and numerous employers in the financial sector. Organised by the Emirates Institute of Finance (EIF) alongside the Central Bank of the UAE, Nafis, and other partners, the event featured over 60 government entities and financial institutions. It attracted 679 job seekers, offering direct employment opportunities and specialised skill development workshops.
Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director-General of Dubai Government Human Resources and Vice Chairman of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai, remarked on the fair's strategic importance. He stated, "The Ethraa Career Fair serves as a strategic platform to showcase the Council’s efforts in developing a robust professional empowerment system for national talent and raising awareness of the quality opportunities available within the financial sector."

The Ethraa initiative aims to support Emiratisation in key sectors by creating over 10,000 job opportunities for UAE nationals by 2027. This initiative also focuses on equipping Emiratis with essential skills for contributing to economic sectors' future and enhancing their role in sustainable national development. A career guidance booth at the fair saw significant engagement from Emirati participants interested in career advancement.
Saif Humaid Al Dhaheri, Assistant Governor for Banking Operations and Support Services at the Central Bank of the UAE, highlighted the fair's alignment with national goals. He noted that it reflects the Central Bank’s commitment to developing national talent through strategic platforms that accelerate Emiratisation. This aligns with UAE’s vision for a sustainable and competitive future.
The event demonstrated effective public-private partnerships supporting economic development goals. Al Dhaheri praised Nafis Programme's role in opening broad career pathways for Emiratis, enabling them to assume leadership roles across the financial industry. The fair's success underscores these partnerships' effectiveness in achieving economic objectives.
Al Falasi emphasised that such events generate accurate data on market trends and needs, enriching planning tools and enhancing Emiratisation-related policies' effectiveness. He added that this edition's organisational success reflects advanced coordination among partners, opening new avenues for impactful initiatives aligned with Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
