NHRI Highlights Equal Rights And Inclusion For People Of Determination In Recent Session
The National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) recently hosted the eighth session of its "Knowledge Lab" series. This internal initiative is designed to educate NHRI employees on significant human rights topics. The latest session, titled "Equal Rights and Respect for Differences among People of Determination," was led by NHRI Board of Trustees Member Klaithem Al Matrooshi.
Al Matrooshi highlighted the crucial role families, communities, and social systems play in enabling People of Determination to engage fully in society. She stressed that collaboration across these areas is vital for unlocking potential and fostering a culture of inclusion. The session emphasised creating environments that empower individuals to live with dignity and independence.

The seminar delved into practical steps for advancing inclusion by addressing various disabilities, such as visual, auditory, and intellectual. It underscored the need for adaptable workplaces that cater to diverse needs.
