Emirates Publishers Association Champions UAE Publishing At London Book Fair
The Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) is set to make a significant impact at this year's London Book Fair, taking place from 12 – 14 March. The EPA's participation underscores its commitment to enhancing the visibility of Emirati creative content worldwide and supporting the growth of the UAE publishing industry. At the prestigious event, the EPA pavilion will feature a delegation from five local publishing houses: Kalimat Group, Sidra Publishing and Distribution, DreamWorks, Asfoura, and Dar Al Thaqafa Publishing.
This collaboration offers these publishers a prime opportunity to extend their marketing reach, explore rights selling and translation opportunities, and engage with publishing industry experts. The initiative is part of the EPA's broader efforts to enrich the UAE’s publishing and translation landscape and promote Emirati literature on a global scale.

The EPA pavilion will showcase a diverse collection of the latest publications from the UAE, covering a wide range of genres including literature, science, and knowledge. The selection features books and comic stories for children and young adults in genres such as early education, suspense, adventure, and science fiction. Additionally, novels that explore history, arts, biographies, as well as books on self-development, language arts, social sciences, and travel will be available for attendees in London.
Rashid Alkous, Executive Director of EPA, highlighted the importance of the London Book Fair for Emirati publishers. He stated that the fair provides an immersive platform for direct engagement with publishing specialists and facilitates negotiations across various channels including print, audio, visual, and digital media. Alkous also mentioned the association's efforts in identifying cooperation opportunities in copyright and translation services while supporting participating publishers through match-making sessions and arranging meetings with international publishers interested in the UAE market.
The London Book Fair is one of the world's largest book markets, attracting over 25,000 global specialists. The EPA’s participation not only aims to support Emirati publishers but also to bolster the creative economy in the United Arab Emirates by enhancing its presence in the global publishing market.
Through its dedicated efforts at events like the London Book Fair, the Emirates Publishers Association continues to play a pivotal role in promoting Emirati literature globally. This initiative is a testament to the association's commitment to nurturing the development of the UAE publishing industry and ensuring that Emirati creative content receives the recognition it deserves on the international stage.
