ENOC Group Enhances Community Well-being Through Extensive CSR Efforts
ENOC Group, a prominent integrated global energy player, has significantly contributed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, focusing on areas such as youth development, education, upskilling, health, and support for less privileged communities. During the Holy month of Ramadan, these efforts have been particularly impactful, with nearly seven million individuals across the UAE benefitting over the past five years. The Group's commitment to social, environmental, and economic wellbeing is evident through its collaboration with government authorities, businesses, NGOs, and communities.
From 2019 to 2023, ENOC Group has executed more than 279 campaigns with the help of over 20,000 volunteers who dedicated more than 23,000 hours to volunteering activities. Each Ramadan season sees the Group supporting over 400,000 beneficiaries. Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC, emphasized the increasing importance of CSR within the organization. He highlighted ENOC's dual focus on advancing the emirate's energy sector and positively impacting local communities. Al Falasi reaffirmed the Group's commitment to community support, especially during Ramadan, a time synonymous with caring and sharing.
During Ramadan, ENOC partners with Beit Al Khair Society and Al Ihsan Charity Association to provide iftar boxes to those in need. Between 2021 and 2023, over 23,700 iftar boxes were donated by the Group. Plans for 2024 include distributing 10,000 boxes throughout the UAE. This year's Ramadan initiatives by ENOC encompass a wide range of activities including packing and distributing grocery items and iftar boxes to over 500,000 beneficiaries in collaboration with Al Ihsan Charity Association as part of their Annual Ramadan Aman Campaign. Additionally, ENOC will provide 10,000 iftar meals to labour camps and 25,000 food items to underprivileged families. These distributions will be carried out by dedicated ENOC volunteers across various UAE locations. For the second year in a row, the Group will host an annual iftar initiative for senior Emirati citizens.
The extensive involvement of ENOC Group in CSR activities during Ramadan not only underscores its commitment to social responsibility but also reflects the spirit of the Holy Month. Through these initiatives, ENOC continues to make a positive difference in society by supporting numerous individuals and families across the UAE.
