ENOC's CEO Mulls Ambitious Expansion Of Jebel Ali Oil Refinery And Mobile Fuel Stations

Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), announced an ambitious expansion plan of the Jebel Ali Oil Refinery and enhancing the fuel station network across the UAE. Speaking on the sidelines of the 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2024 in Dubai, Falasi outlined ENOC's forward-looking investment strategy.

The expansion involves the introduction of ENOC Link, a pioneering digital mobile fuel delivery service tailored for UAE businesses. This innovative approach, dubbed the world’s first 'eLink Station’, is designed to streamline the fuelling process, making it more accessible and convenient for motorists and customers alike. Al Falasi highlighted that this service employs cutting-edge digital technology to ensure efficient energy distribution.

Al Falasi elaborated on ENOC's strategy to develop mobile fuel stations, a move poised to revolutionize the energy sector with cost efficiency. These mobile units, costing between Dh1-2 million each, present a stark contrast to traditional fuel stations, which could amount to Dh20-30 million. This innovative approach not only promises significant cost savings but also introduces a flexible energy solution adaptable to varying demands and traffic patterns in different regions.

The introduction of solar-powered stations further underscores ENOC's commitment to sustainability. These stations are equipped with state-of-the-art digital systems, providing a dependable source of diesel and biodiesel. By harnessing solar power, ENOC aims to offer an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional fuel stations, aligning with the broader goals of energy sustainability and innovation.
