Ethraa Programme Welcomes Over 900 Emirati Talents For Financial Sector Training
The Emirates Institute of Finance has unveiled Cohort 3 of the "Ethraa" programme, which will commence in September 2024 and wrap up by the end of the year. This announcement was made during a ceremony at the institute's Dubai campus. The programme aims to train over 500 Emirati talents recruited during the third and fourth "Ethraa" career fairs.
Upon securing jobs in the financial sector, these individuals will embark on professional careers with continuous development opportunities. Another group of 400 Emirati talents is set to begin their training in January of the following year. The event was inaugurated by Saif Al Dhaheri, Assistant Governor for Banking Operations and Support Services at the Central Bank and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Institute of Finance.

Participants in Cohort 3 will engage in 21 specialised training pathways. These include programming, finance and accounting, cybersecurity, information security, data engineering and analytics, auditing, financial technology (FinTech), IT infrastructure and networking, human resources, product management, investment, project management, underwriting, and claims.
Noura Alblooshi, General Manager of the Emirates Institute of Finance, stated: "With the unwavering support of our wise leadership, the 'Ethraa' programme has successfully met its 2024 target, recruiting over 900 Emirati citizens into the banking and financial sector. The career fairs we organised have been instrumental in providing high-quality job opportunities for Emirati youth. We are confident that our collective efforts will help cultivate a new generation of leaders in the financial sector, equipped to meet future challenges."
The ceremony saw attendance from several HR directors and representatives from banks and financial institutions across the UAE. This phase is designed to provide extensive training to Emirati talents who have secured employment within the financial sector.
The "Ethraa" programme continues to be a cornerstone initiative aimed at developing local talent for future leadership roles in finance. By offering specialised training pathways and career development opportunities, it seeks to prepare participants for various challenges they may face in their professional journeys.
