Abdul Rahim Al Zarooni's AED 2 Million Donation Boosts Mothers' Education Fund

In a significant act of philanthropy, Emirati businessman Abdul Rahim Mohammed Belghozooz Al Zarooni has pledged AED2 million to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign. This initiative, championed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, aims to establish a AED 1 billion endowment fund. The fund is dedicated to supporting educational projects for millions worldwide, particularly in underprivileged communities.

The campaign, orchestrated by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, offers a unique opportunity for individuals to honour their mothers through donations. These contributions will be channelled towards education projects in collaboration with various humanitarian organisations.

Abdul Rahim Al Zarooni expressed his admiration for the initiative, highlighting its significance during Ramadan. "This year’s Mothers’ Endowment campaign embodies deep appreciation for mothers by establishing an endowment fund in their honour," he stated. Al Zarooni further emphasized the critical role of education in empowering underprivileged communities to improve their circumstances.

The campaign not only addresses essential global challenges but also promotes values such as honouring parents, kindness, compassion, and solidarity. It further cements the UAE's position as a leader in humanitarian efforts.

Contributions to the Mothers’ Endowment fund can be made through various channels. The campaign’s website (Mothersfund.ae) and a dedicated call centre (toll-free number 800 9999) are primary avenues for donations. Additionally, contributions can be made via bank transfers to Emirates Islamic Bank (account number AE790340003708472909201), SMS donations by sending the word "Mother" to numbers (1034, 1035, 1036, 1038) for Etisalat by e& users, the DubaiNow app under the "Donations" tab, and through Dubai’s community contributions platform Jood (Jood.ae).

This initiative is a testament to the evolving success of Ramadan campaigns led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. By focusing on key priorities and addressing the pressing needs of communities, these campaigns drive development and empower individuals across the globe.
