Emirates has been recognised as the "World’s Best Airline" among 90 international carriers, according to a study by Telegraph Travel. The evaluation was based on over 30 criteria, including punctuality, baggage policies, route network, and fleet age. Data from more than 18 independent awards, reader polls, ratings websites, and expert reviews contributed to the results.

The study praised Emirates as a "worthy winner," highlighting its excellence in areas like baggage allowance and punctuality. Emirates operates the largest number of Airbus A380s, known for providing ample space and legroom across all cabins. This feature is particularly appreciated by passengers in economy class.

Premium economy on Emirates' A380s is considered top-notch. Business class offers a chauffeur service to and from the airport, which is becoming rare. First class boasts an exceptional wine list and even showers. The airline's extensive route network covers 140 cities in 77 countries.

The airline was voted the best long-haul carrier globally by 30,000 Telegraph Travel readers. The study's methodology involved selecting airlines based on annual passenger numbers. Points were awarded for performance in reliability, connectivity, luggage rules, inflight experience, fleet age, home airport quality, rewards programme value, safety, heritage, lounge quality, and more.

Various sources such as Apex to Airline Ratings and Skytrax to TrustPilot reviews contributed to the rankings. Emirates has already garnered 19 additional awards and recognitions in 2024 from diverse global sources.
