Emirates Racing Authority Announces Official Schedule For 2025–2026 UAE Horse Racing Season
The Emirates Racing Authority (ERA) has unveiled the schedule for the 2025–2026 UAE horse racing season. This season is set to commence on 25th October 2025 at the Abu Dhabi Turf Club. The calendar highlights the UAE’s dedication to enhancing horse racing competitiveness, featuring races for both crossbred and purebred horses.
Abu Dhabi Turf Club will play a significant role, hosting prestigious classic races like the UAE President Cup. This event draws top jockeys and Purebred Arabian owners from around the world. Meydan Racecourse, as the UAE's flagship venue, will conclude the season with the Dubai World Cup on 28th March 2026, a highly anticipated global event.

The new season comprises 64 race meetings across five major racecourses. These include 16 at Abu Dhabi Turf Club, 14 at Al Ain Racecourse, 11 at Jebel Ali Racecourse, six at Sharjah Racecourse, and 16 at Meydan Racecourse. The season will officially start on Saturday, 25th October in Abu Dhabi.
Following Abu Dhabi's opening, Jebel Ali will host its first race on 1st November. Meydan follows on 7th November, Al Ain on 9th November, and Sharjah on 16th November. Each venue offers unique events that contribute to the overall excitement of the season.
Sharjah Racecourse will feature several high-profile races such as H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah Cup and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup (1st leg of the Emirates Sprint Series). Additionally, it will host the GCC Cup and H.H. Sharjah Crown Prince Cup.
Al Ain Racecourse is set to host events like Al Ain Mile race day and the Marathon Series. Meanwhile, Jebel Ali Racecourse will present races including Jebel Ali Mile, Jebel Ali Sprint, and Jebel Ali Stakes.
The upcoming calendar builds on past successes and strengthens the UAE's reputation as a leading destination in international horse racing. This is supported by professional organisation and strong backing from national leadership.
