Emirates NBD Becomes World’s First Bank With WiredScore Platinum And SmartScore Platinum
Emirates NBD has become the first financial institution globally to secure both WiredScore Platinum and SmartScore Platinum certifications, recognising the bank’s digital connectivity and smart building capabilities across key physical assets, including its new Group Head Office in Dubai and the KSA New Head Office in Riyadh.
The dual Platinum recognition underlines Emirates NBD’s focus on high-performance connectivity, smart technology and data-driven operations. The certifications reinforce the bank’s strategy to maintain reliable, future-ready infrastructure while supporting the smart city ambitions of UAE Vision 2030 and Saudi Vision 2030 through advanced, technology-enabled workplaces.

WiredScore certification assesses whether a building’s digital connectivity meets rigorous standards for speed, reliability and resilience, with infrastructure designed to be future-ready. SmartScore certification evaluates innovative and sustainable building features, with an emphasis on occupier experience, operational efficiency and the intelligent use of technology in everyday operations.
With both Platinum certifications, Emirates NBD positions itself as a data-first, digital-focused banking group, providing scalable and resilient connectivity across its network. The bank states that its smart, technologically advanced buildings offer an enhanced work environment for employees, supporting productivity and efficient operations in branches, offices and other facilities.
Eman Abdulrazzaq, Group Chief Operating Officer at Emirates NBD, said: “We are pleased to announce Emirates NBD has further reinforced its future-readiness with the WiredScore and SmartScore Platinum certifications. Through these certifications, we have further advanced in our enterprise-wide transformation efforts to enhance customer experience, operational excellence, sustainability and workforce efficiency in line with the smart city development objectives of the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
“The SmartScore certification aligns with the broader human development goals of the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Emirates NBD is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of citizens in these countries by leveraging our extensive resources, strengthening the UAE's future roadmap and Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.”

We are proud to be working with such a visionary client in partnership to delivering smarter and better-connected buildings that set a benchmark for the wider industry.”
According to WiredScore, its scorecards draw on learnings from more than 1 billion sq. ft. of certified real estate worldwide, reflecting global best-in-class benchmarks for connectivity and smart systems. By securing both WiredScore and SmartScore Platinum certifications, Emirates NBD aims to equip customers and staff with digital-forward, future-ready buildings, branches and facilities.
WiredScore describes itself as a globally recognised standardisation body focused on making buildings smarter and better connected through certification and education, providing frameworks that guide landlords, developers and occupiers in assessing and improving building technology performance.
