Emirates NBD Joins National Incubator Network To Support UAE Entrepreneurs

Sandooq Al Watan and Emirates NBD have formalised a partnership through a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This agreement integrates the bank's business incubator into the National Incubator Network. The collaboration aims to enhance cooperation and knowledge sharing, providing support to UAE entrepreneurs as they embark on their business journeys.

The MoU was signed by Yasser Al Gergawi, Director-General of Sandooq Al Watan, and Hemant Julka, Group Head of Fintech and Digital Partnerships at Emirates NBD. Al Gergawi expressed that the bank's extensive experience in entrepreneurship and SME support is a valuable addition to the network. This initiative, supported by H.H Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, encourages collaboration among incubators throughout the UAE.

Al Gergawi emphasised Sandooq Al Watan's willingness to collaborate with various organisations across the UAE. The goal is to serve Emirati youth and achieve strategic objectives set by the fund. Through the National Incubator Network, Sandooq Al Watan aims to provide comprehensive support for SME initiatives led by young Emiratis in areas like administration, commerce, technology, and innovation.

The network also prioritises skill development for entrepreneurs and small investors to ensure their ventures succeed. Specialised programmes are conducted by the network, including entrepreneurship training for university students and young participants in incubators.

Julka remarked on the partnership's focus on expanding the talent pool within the programme. He stated, "This partnership focuses on growing the talent pool within the programme while advancing our shared objective of fostering innovation and contributing to the UAE's GDP growth aspirations."

Sandooq Al Watan remains committed to partnering with diverse entities across the UAE. The aim is to empower Emirati youth while achieving strategic goals through collaborative efforts. The National Incubator Network serves as a platform for nurturing entrepreneurial skills and supporting innovative projects led by young Emiratis.
