Emirates Mobile Heart Clinics Launch Initiative For Early Detection Of Cardiovascular Diseases In Pakistan

Emirates Mobile Heart Clinics have initiated a campaign to mark Union Pledge Day, focusing on early detection of heart diseases in rural areas of Pakistan. This initiative aims to provide high-quality diagnostic and preventive services to the elderly, women, and children. Emirati and Pakistani doctors from the UAE’s Young Humanitarian Leaders Programme oversee this project, which is part of the UAE's global humanitarian efforts.

The mobile clinics are managed by specialised medical teams, including cardiologists, pediatricians, family medicine doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and lab technicians. They offer free medical consultations and medications. This effort is part of a 25-year tradition of Emirati voluntary medical work in Pakistan through the UAE-Pakistan Field Clinics. Over one million patients have benefited from these services under joint supervision by Emirati and Pakistani teams.

Mobile Clinics Promote Early Detection in Pakistan

This initiative is a collaborative venture involving the Zayed Giving Initiative, Sharjah Charity House, UAE Community Mobile Clinics, and the UAE Young Humanitarian Leaders Programme. It showcases an innovative model of cooperation among government bodies, private entities, and non-profit organisations in delivering community medical services.

Dr. Adel Al Shamry, CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative, mentioned that expanding mobile clinic operations aligns with the "Year of Community." The goal is to attract and train medical personnel to serve underprivileged communities effectively. Sultan Al Khayyal, Secretary-General of Sharjah Charity House, noted that their 2025 plan aims to reach over 20 Pakistani villages with a sustainable operational strategy.

Al Juri Al Ajmi, Director of the UAE Young Humanitarian Leaders Programme, highlighted ongoing efforts to broaden the geographical reach of clinics and field hospitals. Collaborating with local partners will help them cover more villages. Residents in these Pakistani villages have expressed gratitude for the free healthcare services provided by the UAE. They praised the quality care that eased their suffering.

The initiative reflects the legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who was known for his generosity towards those in need. The project continues to embody his spirit by extending support where it is most needed.
