Emirates Group Prepares For Expansion With Strategic Executive Appointments
In a strategic move to bolster its executive team and align with its ambitious growth plans over the next 15 years, Emirates Group has announced a series of senior appointments. This decision underscores the organisation's commitment to Dubai's vision for expansion and prosperity. The announcement made by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, highlighted the promotion of 19 executives, including 8 UAE nationals and 6 women, showcasing the group's dedication to diversity and leadership development.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum emphasised the group's clear and ambitious plans for fleet, network, and business growth. He stated, "To effectively execute these plans, the Group is strengthening its executive bench, together with internal business and operational alignment. I am pleased to announce these senior appointments, all of whom are long-serving leaders within the organization who continue to contribute to the growth and success of Emirates and dnata."

Set to take effect on 1 March 2024, the appointments aim at fortifying Emirates Group's leadership as it prepares for a significant phase of expansion. The reshuffle includes the promotion of Adel Al Redha to Deputy President and Chief Operations Officer and Adnan Kazim to Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer. Steve Allen has been named the Chief Executive Officer of dnata, while Michael Doersam will serve as the Chief Financial and Group Services Officer.
Other notable appointments include Boutros Boutros as the Executive VP for Marketing, Brand, and Corporate Communications, and Nabil Sultan as the Executive VP for Passenger Sales and Country Management. The leadership team will also see Oliver Grohmann stepping in as the Executive VP for Human Resources and Richard Jewsbury as the Executive VP for Corporate and Customer Experience Planning.
The group has also elevated several key figures to senior vice-presidential roles, reflecting its commitment to nurturing internal talent and promoting from within. Among them are Anand Lakshminarayanan as the Divisional Senior VP for Order Management and Revenue Optimisation, and Amira Al Awadhi as the Senior VP for HR Operations and Systems. The promotions highlight Emirates Group's focus on strategic areas crucial for its future direction, including sustainability and environment, with Shannon Scott being named VP for Sustainability and Environment.
