Sheikh Mansour Reviews Emirates Council For Balanced Development Strategy To Enhance Quality Of Life

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, has assessed the Emirates Council for Balanced Development's strategy. This plan aims to boost economic growth and enhance the well-being of Emirati citizens. It seeks to ensure a dignified living standard for everyone across the nation.

During discussions with His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, Sheikh Mansour explored the strategy's main pillars. They reviewed implementation mechanisms and future projects aimed at developing villages and regions, enhancing their economic and tourism potential in line with each area's unique characteristics.

Sheikh Theyab emphasised that achieving development goals requires a unified approach. He highlighted the need for collaboration between government entities, private sector institutions, and meaningful engagement with residents in developing areas. "The Council's projects are proceeding in line with the wise leadership's vision," he added.

The Council's strategy outlines various initiatives aimed at accelerating progress. It focuses on enhancing facilities and services in villages, transforming them into tourist destinations and development hubs. Sustainability initiatives are emphasised through metrics and key performance indicators to track progress.

The strategy is built on an integrated framework for balanced development projects. It involves coordinating with ministries and local authorities on village development plans, setting timelines for implementation, and approving partnership opportunities with private sector companies.

Pillars of Comprehensive Growth

The Council's strategy is based on four key pillars: economic, social, tourism, and cultural development. The Economic Pillar aims to create diversified micro-economies through programmes like "Productive Farms" and "Support for Creative & Handicraft Industries." The Social Pillar focuses on family cohesion through initiatives like the Young Government Leaders Programme.

The Tourism Pillar seeks to create tourist destinations via the Emirates Villages Project. The Cultural Pillar enhances heritage by promoting local culture through cultural tourism experiences involving local residents.

Community Engagement Initiatives

A series of media campaigns will highlight developed areas' features to strengthen their presence on the domestic tourism map. Enhanced collaboration with public and private sector partners will support this effort.

The Emirates Villages Project was launched in November 2022 to develop a sustainable model creating economic opportunities ensuring social stability. The Qidfa Region Development Project in Fujairah began in January 2023 as part of this initiative.

In June 2023, the Masfout Development Project in Ajman was initiated by the Emirates Council for Balanced Development to establish a sustainable model creating new economic opportunities ensuring decent living standards for communities.

Under community outreach initiatives launched by Sheikh Theyab in 2024, several community programmes have been implemented by the Council.
