Emirates Announces Commitment To Hire Over 1,500 Pilots On World Pilots' Day

Emirates recently celebrated World Pilots’ Day by recognising the dedication and resilience of its pilots. As the airline plans for future growth and expansion, it aims to recruit over 1,500 new pilots in the next two years. This initiative is supported by their Accelerated Command programme, which promotes First Officers to Captains swiftly, with over 80 pilots currently progressing through this upgrade.

Emirates pilots operate one of the youngest and most modern fleets globally, comprising 261 wide-body aircraft including Airbus A380s, Boeing 777s, and the newly added A350. They fly to more than 148 destinations across six continents, connecting vibrant cities like San Francisco and Sydney with tranquil spots such as the Maldives and Mauritius. Pilots navigate diverse terrains from forests to deserts and even witness phenomena like the aurora borealis.

Emirates to Hire 1,500 New Pilots

Pilots at Emirates enjoy a competitive tax-free salary along with profit-sharing benefits, providing financial security. They also have access to a world-class provident fund and retirement benefits. Additionally, life insurance, medical coverage, and dental care are part of their comprehensive benefits package.

With an ambitious growth strategy, Emirates is actively seeking experienced pilots for various roles within its four programmes: Direct Entry Captains, Accelerated Command, First Officers Type Rated, and First Officers Non-Type Rated. New recruits will join a community of 4,600 flight crew members. Since early 2022, nearly 2,000 new pilots have joined Emirates.

This year alone, Emirates plans to hire over 550 pilots through recruitment roadshows in more than 40 cities worldwide. Following successful sessions in Italy this month, they will visit Norway, Finland, and Sweden in May. These efforts aim to attract top talent to join their esteemed pilot community.

Aspiring aviators can anticipate a range of thoughtfully curated benefits when joining Emirates’ world-class team. The airline's commitment to excellence ensures that every journey offers an exceptional experience for both pilots and passengers alike.

The airline’s focus on hiring skilled pilots aligns with its vision for continued expansion. By welcoming new talent into its ranks, Emirates strengthens its position as a leader in global aviation while offering unparalleled opportunities for career advancement within its pilot community.
