Emirates Aviation University Celebrates Its 35th Graduation Ceremony Honouring 154 Graduates
Emirates Aviation University (EAU) recently marked its 35th graduation ceremony, celebrating the achievements of 154 graduates ready to influence the global aviation industry. Since its inception in 1991, EAU has produced over 26,000 alumni, contributing significantly to both local and international aviation sectors. The ceremony was attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who awarded certificates to the graduates.
Sheikh Ahmed expressed his appreciation for EAU's role in nation-building and its impact on the aviation sector. He stated, "Emirates Aviation University’s contribution to nation building, particularly in relation to the country’s key aviation sector, is well recognised. The university has been an important pivot not just for training and education, but also for research, development and community engagement within aviation. Our commitment to EAU is unwavering, and we enhance and amplify its capabilities with support from our Group’s senior leadership team and our solid investments in its future. Congratulations to our graduates – they have every reason to feel proud!"

This year's graduating class included students from over 25 nationalities pursuing various postgraduate and undergraduate degrees. Disciplines ranged from aviation management to aerospace engineering. The diverse cohort reflects EAU's commitment to fostering a multicultural learning environment that prepares students for global challenges.
The Vice-Chancellor of Emirates Aviation University, Professor Ahmad Al Ali, highlighted the significance of this milestone year. He remarked on the graduates entering a rapidly evolving aviation landscape: "This generation of graduates are stepping into the world of aviation at a pivotal moment of rapid transformation – in the UAE and globally. Their commitment and innovation will not only propel the industry forward but will also help to sustain it long-term as the world navigates the shortage of an expert and experienced workforce. Congratulations to our graduates – their achievements are a testament to our successful academic journey."
A notable aspect of EAU's educational approach is its partnership with Emirates Group for internships. Over 650 undergraduates have gained practical experience through semester-long placements over the past four years. These internships allow students to earn up to 15 credit hours while gaining valuable insights into real-world operations within the aviation industry.
The graduating class comprised 24 postgraduate students alongside 130 undergraduates, including some sponsored by Emirates. The university recognised 19 outstanding students across all disciplines for their exceptional performance during their studies.
The presence of Emirates Group executives, proud families, friends, and dedicated faculty members added a celebratory atmosphere to the event. This gathering underscored EAU's role as a cornerstone in shaping future leaders within aviation.
As these graduates embark on their professional journeys, they carry with them skills honed through rigorous academic training and practical experiences provided by EAU's comprehensive programmes.
