161 Arabian Horses Shine At The 6th Emirates Global Cup Show In Egypt

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), and with the follow-up of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the EAHS, the 6th Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup Show (EAHGC) for the 2024 season was held in El Alamein on Egypt's northern coast. The event saw significant success and resonated well among Egyptian owners and breeders.

The championship spanned three days and featured 161 Arabian horses from 65 owners. The competition was intense throughout the qualifying rounds leading up to the finals. Mohamed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director-General of the EAHS, crowned the winners.

Arabian Horses Excel in Egypt Cup

Anwaar Al Farida from Al Farida Stud clinched gold in the Yearling Fillies Championship. Rahma Al Mozn from Al Mozn Stud took silver, while Sukar Al Farida secured bronze, marking a double win for Al Farida Stud.

In the Junior Fillies Championship, Bahga Al Farida won gold. Taya Max Mareen earned silver for Al Thaqib Stud, and Malika Al Hamd took bronze for Ahmedeyat Al Hamd.

Senior Mare Championship

The Senior Mare Championship saw Ayla El Gabry Ox winning gold for El Gabry Stud. Aysha Al Baydaa secured silver for Al Baydaa Stud, while Sayedah Al Farida added another medal to Al Farida Stud's tally.

Yearling Colts Championship

Bassam Al Farida won gold in the Yearling Colts Championship for Al Farida Stud. Salim Al Saragihna earned silver for Al Saraghna Stud, and Baareg Al Farida took bronze.

Junior Colts Championship

Fakhr Al Gammal from Al Gammal Stud emerged victorious in the Junior Colts Championship. Shaikh Al Yasser won silver for Al Yasser Stud, while Baseem Al Masry secured bronze.

Senior Stallions Championship

Bebars Al Farida claimed gold in the Senior Stallions Championship for Al Farida Stud. Safir Al Khaldon took silver for Aal Ewayan Stud, and Karawan El Gabry Ox added another medal to El Gabry Stud's achievements.

After the event's success, Mohamed Ahmed Al Harbi stated: "In line with the sound directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the follow-up of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup continues its journey of success with the 6th show which came out in a wonderful and impressive manner in the sisterly Republic of Egypt, which is considered one of the most prominent countries in terms of caring about Arabian horses."

Al Harbi noted that this year's show had a record participation with 161 horses competing. He confirmed that these events aim to support breeders and owners worldwide. He also announced that the 7th show would take place in Brazil on July 7th.

Nasir Taleb Mushtahi from Al Shorouq Stud expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his continuous support for Arabian horses. He also thanked Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan for overseeing and supervising the event's organisation.

Al Mushtahi praised the organising committee's efforts: "The organising committee was successful in putting together this exciting event in the beautiful tourist city of El Alamein, and the championship saw a very large participation by most of the studs in Egypt, exceeding all of our expectations." He highlighted that six horses from his stud participated and commended their performance due to excellent organisation.
