Emirates Agriculture Conference 2025 Agenda Announced

The conference will serve as a platform for innovation in agriculture, aiming to support sustainable food security in the UAE. Dr. Al Dahak noted that by showcasing national agricultural potential and promoting modern technologies like smart farming, the event will advance agricultural transformation. The goal is to improve local production efficiency by addressing climate and water challenges.

Dr. Al Dahak announced the launch of the National Agriculture Museum during the event. This museum will document the evolution of agriculture in the UAE, highlighting its shift from traditional practices to smart methods. It will feature interactive exhibits and digital media, offering insights into future plans for smart agriculture.

The success of this inaugural edition relies on strong partnerships with national and international entities. Silal has been named as the Diamond sponsor due to its significant contributions to UAE agriculture. The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) joins as a platinum sponsor, reinforcing international collaboration for food security.

Additional partners include Al Ain Farms and Lulu Hypermarket as gold sponsors, while TRENDS Research & Advisory serves as a research partner. Abu Dhabi Media Network is the main media partner, with 'Dawahi Al Ain' as the youth digital media partner.

Youth Engagement in Agriculture

The Emirates Youth Council for Agriculture will play a pivotal role at the conference by engaging young people in agricultural policymaking. Dr. Al Dahak stressed: "The youth are the backbone of our society." The council aims to encourage innovative approaches among youth to strengthen food security.

The event's agenda includes over 75 speakers from various sectors, including government officials, private sector representatives, academics, and innovators. More than 20 keynote speeches and numerous workshops will be held over four days.

Diverse Activities and Workshops

The exhibition spans 20,000 square metres and can accommodate up to 11,000 attendees. It features inclusive zones for agriculture enthusiasts and highlights local crops through a Farmers’ Exhibition. A special section on Emirati beekeepers will also be showcased.

Each day of the conference has a unique theme focusing on different aspects of agriculture: global cooperation on day one; research centres on day two; youth engagement on day three; and entrepreneurship on day four.

Focus on Agricultural Entrepreneurship

The final day will explore financing agricultural projects and transforming ideas into viable ventures. Discussions will highlight agricultural extension's role in supporting farmers with modern innovations. A panel featuring winners of an excellence award will celebrate achievements in innovation.

Youth participation is crucial throughout the event with interactive sessions designed for young farmers and aspiring entrepreneurs. These initiatives aim to inspire future generations towards sustainable food security through home gardening practices.

Community Involvement in Sustainable Practices

The exhibition includes zones dedicated to schools, universities, companies, start-ups, government entities, and community members. These zones aim to foster interest in agriculture from an early age while promoting sustainable practices within communities.
