Emirates Agriculture Conference And Exhibition 2025 To Promote Sustainable Agricultural Practices

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) has announced the inaugural Emirates Agriculture Conference and Exhibition 2025, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This event supports the UAE's strategic vision to bolster the local agricultural sector and enhance sustainable national food security. It aligns with the 'Plant the Emirates' National Programme, which promotes sustainable agricultural practices.

The Emirates Agriculture Conference and Exhibition 2025 will be held at ADNEC Centre Al Ain from 28th to 31st May 2025. The event will gather officials, decision-makers, and leaders from both local and international agricultural sectors. It aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and innovative insights to transition from traditional agriculture to sustainable models that address global food security challenges.

Emirates Agriculture Conference 2025 Launches

Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, emphasised that UAE leadership prioritises developing the agricultural sector to achieve the National Food Security Strategy 2051 goals. She stated that adopting climate-smart solutions is crucial for strengthening sustainable national food security. "The patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan... reflects His Highness’ ongoing dedication to advancing the agricultural sector," she added.

The conference will empower Emirati farmers and local farms to meet national agricultural targets. It aims to position the UAE as a leading platform for dialogue on agriculture's role in addressing global food challenges. Dr. Al Dahak highlighted that water scarcity and limited arable land are significant challenges, necessitating a shift towards technology-driven solutions.

The event will bring together officials, farmers, experts, and investors, creating opportunities for innovation and collaboration in local agricultural production. It aligns with 'Plant the Emirates' goals by engaging communities, youth, and entrepreneurs in building a resilient agricultural sector. The conference supports integrating solutions across farms and households for sustainable development.

A key feature will be the First National Agricultural Extension Forum, offering learning opportunities from experts and exploring advancements in agricultural technologies. The programme includes specialised sessions on sustainability, community agriculture, food security, climate change, modern irrigation, waste management, biotechnology, vertical farming, and youth engagement in agriculture.

The exhibition will highlight diverse specialist zones such as Farmers’ Exhibition showcasing local crops like honey with unique qualities. The Youth Zone aims to attract young farmers and researchers while an Agricultural Technology Zone displays smart solutions enhancing productivity with minimal carbon footprint.

A Schools and Universities Zone will involve students demonstrating educational efforts in developing agricultural solutions. The Corporate Zone allows major players to showcase their contributions while a Startups Zone enables emerging companies to present initiatives expanding agricultural activities in the country.
