EKTFA Expands Mleiha Dairy Farm Herd With Third Batch Of A2A2 Cows From Inntro Agrar Gmbh
The Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Corporation (EKTFA) has entered into an agreement with Inntro Agrar Gmbh to supply 1,500 cows to Mleiha Dairy Farm. This move follows the directives of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, to increase the farm's herd from 5,000 to 8,000 cows. The cows will have natural, non-genetically modified A2A2 genes.
The contract was formalised by Dr. Engineer Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Executive Director of EKTFA, and Cüneyt Kocakulak, General Manager of Inntro Agrar Gmbh. The signing was attended by Salem Abdullah Al Kaabi, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, along with other senior officials from both parties.

Inntro Agrar Gmbh is tasked with supplying 1,500 pregnant Holstein cows from the Danish A2A2 breed. These cows will be transported via aircraft equipped with all necessary health and nutritional provisions. The delivery will adhere to UAE's approved specifications and medical checks for cow importation.
Al Tunaiji highlighted that this contract aligns with the vision of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi to expand Mleiha Dairy Farm's herd size due to increased local demand for organic milk. This demand stems from a robust food system focused on healthy products and superior cow breeds.
The Mleiha Dairy Farm project also supports research initiatives in collaboration with leading universities like the University of Al Dhaid. These efforts aim to explore the benefits of producing clean and healthy dairy products for the community.
Cüneyt Kocakulak expressed enthusiasm about continuing their partnership with Sharjah's government. He emphasised their dedication to working with top institutions in organic food production while adhering to international best practices.
This ongoing collaboration between EKTFA and Inntro Agrar Gmbh ensures compliance with the Sharjah Food Strategy requirements and specifications. It reflects a commitment to meeting consumer needs and expectations through strategic partnerships.
