Eighth Arab Conference For Public Relations And Communication Commences In Dubai Focusing On AI Challenges
The eighth Arab Conference for Public Relations and Communication commenced in Dubai, organised by the Arab Administrative Development Organisation (ARADO) of the League of Arab States. Running until 17th December, the event focuses on "Communication and Public Relations in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges." Over 200 participants from 16 Arab nations, along with more than 25 experts in communication, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation, are attending.
Dr. Nasser Al Hatlan Al Qahtani, Director-General of ARADO, emphasised the conference's significance as a platform for leaders and experts to explore major shifts in institutional communication. He highlighted how artificial intelligence is reshaping communication strategies and discussed ways to use this technology effectively while considering ethical and legal challenges.

Al Qahtani noted that artificial intelligence is now a crucial part of daily life. Its application in communication helps analyse big data, personalise messages, enhance services, support decision-making, and manage crises. He stressed that using these technologies should be safe, lawful, and uphold integrity, transparency, credibility, and intellectual property rights.
The conference sessions cover several key themes such as the impact of artificial intelligence on communication strategies and digital relations. Discussions also include AI ethics, challenges in its use, and the future of public relations amid significant digital transformations. A distinguished group of Arab experts from 16 countries is participating.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between ARADO and the UAE Journalists Association. Dr. Nasser Al Qahtani and Fadila Al Muaini were present during this signing. The agreement aims to boost cooperation in media development and exchange technical expertise, information, studies, reports, and publications on mutual interests.
Dr. Al Qahtani expressed gratitude to all speakers, session chairs, participants, media representatives, and organising teams. He affirmed that active engagement during sessions will lead to practical recommendations supporting public relations development in the Arab world.
