EHS Achieves Over 1.27 Million Residency Medical Fitness Examinations In 2023

In a significant display of operational efficiency and commitment to public health, Emirates Health Services (EHS) successfully conducted over 1.27 million medical fitness tests for residency visa applicants last year. This achievement underscores EHS's unwavering dedication to enhancing service quality, meeting customer expectations, and elevating the overall experience of individuals seeking residency in the UAE.

The month of March saw the peak of activity, with a record 113,398 medical fitness tests administered, marking the highest monthly figure for the year. In contrast, April experienced a dip in numbers, with 84,461 tests conducted, representing the lowest monthly count. Despite these fluctuations, EHS health centres demonstrated remarkable efficiency in managing appointment schedules and conducting visa examinations smoothly throughout the year.

Dr. Shamsa Lootah, Director of the Public Health Department at EHS, confirmed the successful administration of medical fitness examinations for over 1.27 million individuals seeking residency visas. She noted that monthly visits to the centres typically fluctuated between 90,000 and 113,000. Dr. Lootah further emphasized EHS's commitment to providing the necessary healthcare infrastructure to accommodate the growing demand from individuals.

These efforts are part of EHS's broader mission to deliver top-tier healthcare services and ensure the well-being of the UAE's population and residents. Dr. Lootah highlighted the importance of medical examinations as a critical component of the measures in place to maintain high public health standards within the UAE.

The substantial number of medical fitness tests conducted last year reflects EHS's capability to handle large-scale health assessments efficiently. This not only contributes to safeguarding public health but also facilitates the smooth processing of residency visa applications, thereby supporting the UAE's vision of creating a safe and healthy environment for its residents.
