EDGE And MEXT Collaborate To Enhance Innovation And Capability Development

EDGE Group's Learning and Innovation Factory (LIF) has partnered with MEXT, a leading centre for digital and green transformation. This collaboration aims to boost workforce development and innovation in the UAE, Türkiye, and the GCC region. The agreement was formalised by Omar Al Zaabi from EDGE and Efe Erdem from MEXT at a ceremony in Istanbul.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) designates LIF as MEXT's exclusive partner in Learning and Development. Together, they will create upskilling programmes tailored to industry needs. This partnership will utilise LIF's advanced facilities for skill-building initiatives while using MEXT’s Technology Centre to access the Turkish market.

Digital and green transformation projects are central to this partnership. LIF will prioritise MEXT as its main technical consultancy provider. In return, MEXT will consider LIF as a primary partner for projects involving governmental entities in the UAE.

LIF is committed to fostering an innovative ecosystem. It will serve as the entry point for MEXT’s partners aiming to expand into the UAE. Additionally, LIF has been granted the first right of implementation for new use cases entering the UAE market.

Omar Al Zaabi expressed that this partnership strengthens efforts to support digital transformation and skill development. He stated it aligns with the UAE's vision of becoming an Industry 4.0 hub. "This partnership enhances the impetus for LIF and MEXT to support individuals and organisations in achieving digital transformation and proficiency development," he said.

Efe Erdem highlighted their goal of empowering industries in Türkiye and the UAE with advanced knowledge and skills. He noted that this collaboration aims to foster sustainable development across various sectors. "By joining forces, we aim to empower industries in Türkiye and the UAE with cutting-edge knowledge and skills," Erdem added.

This strategic alliance between LIF and MEXT is set to drive significant advancements in workforce capabilities across multiple regions, enhancing both digital proficiency and innovation.
