EDGE And Leonardo DRS Join Forces To Strengthen UAE Defence And Industrial Capabilities

EDGE entity TRUST has announced a partnership with Leonardo DRS to enhance the UAE's defence capabilities. This collaboration aims to develop, produce, and support defence solutions specifically for the UAE Armed Forces. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Dr. Jasem Al Zaabi from EDGE and Joe Rahbany from Leonardo DRS during the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2025 in Abu Dhabi.

The MoU outlines a joint effort in procuring and integrating advanced technologies, focusing on situational awareness systems for vehicles. This initiative supports the UAE Armed Forces' operational needs and aims to boost the national defence sector's self-sufficiency by establishing reliable systems. The collaboration aligns with the UAE's vision of enhancing local defence capabilities through strategic partnerships.

The signing ceremony was attended by key figures including Dr. Abdulmunem Alshehhi from TRUST; Bill Guyan from Leonardo DRS; Dennis Crumley; and Cameron Dadgar at IDEX 2025 held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 17th to 21st February.

This collaboration marks an important milestone in bolstering the UAE's defence capabilities through strategic alliances. By leveraging shared expertise, both entities aim to provide advanced solutions that meet current and future challenges faced by national security forces.
