EDGE And Indra Group Collaborate To Expand PULSE NOVA Into Electronic Warfare Capabilities

Indra Group and EDGE Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to potentially expand their joint venture, PULSE NOVA. This agreement aims to incorporate advanced electronic warfare capabilities into their portfolio. The collaboration seeks to leverage the strengths of both companies, with Indra's expertise in information technology and EDGE's focus on advanced technologies and defence systems.

The MoU was signed at the Dubai Airshow by Hamad Al Marar, EDGE Managing Director & CEO, and Ángel Escribano, Executive Chairman of Indra. They plan to explore extending their partnership through PULSE NOVA, based in Abu Dhabi. This extension could lead to the development and manufacturing of next-generation radar systems in the UAE, enhancing their competitive edge.

Ángel Escribano expressed that this expansion reflects both companies' commitment to becoming global leaders in advanced radar and electronic warfare technologies. "The extension would represent the determination of both companies to create a global market leader both in the field of advanced radar and electronic warfare technologies across multiple domains," he stated.

José Vicente de los Mozos, CEO of Indra Group, highlighted the success of their current partnership as a driving force for this potential expansion. "The interest in extending the joint venture’s scope is the result of the excellent track of the current strategic partnership that would bring together complementary capabilities, experience, and commercial reach to deliver world-class solutions to our clients, reinforcing our positioning in the Middle East," he said.

Hamad Al Marar emphasized the importance of expertise and purpose-driven ecosystems in electronic warfare. He noted that combining Indra's and EDGE's capabilities could enhance PULSE NOVA's portfolio for regional and international customers. The collaboration focuses on developing sophisticated technologies while expanding globally by targeting non-NATO markets outside Europe. EDGE contributes its commercial strength and technology foundations, while Indra enhances PULSE NOVA with technology transfer and engineering capabilities.

This strategic focus aims to tap into untapped markets where both companies can offer innovative solutions. By combining their strengths, they hope to position PULSE NOVA as a centre for advanced mission systems that meet diverse customer needs worldwide.

The ongoing partnership between Indra Group and EDGE Group demonstrates their commitment to advancing defence technology through innovation and collaboration. Their efforts aim to create a robust portfolio that serves various markets effectively while maintaining a competitive edge in the industry.
