EDGE Group And FNSS Partner To Enhance UAE Armed Forces' Infantry Fighting Vehicles For Modern Combat
AL TAIF, part of EDGE Group, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FNSS. This agreement focuses on upgrading the UAE Armed Forces' infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) to enhance their battlefield performance and operational readiness. The MoU was signed at IDEX 2025, held at ADNEC until 21st February, by Rashed Al Kaabi, CEO of AL TAIF, and Kadir Nail Kurt, CEO of FNSS.
The collaboration between AL TAIF and FNSS aims to modernise the mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of the IFVs. This upgrade will equip them with advanced capabilities to meet current technological standards. The partnership is committed to adhering to internal policies and procedures throughout this process.

FNSS is renowned globally for its expertise in designing and producing armoured combat vehicles. Their portfolio includes wheeled and tracked vehicles, combat engineering vehicles, unmanned ground vehicles, hybrid power solutions for military vehicles, turrets, and sustainability solutions. This expertise will be pivotal in the modernisation efforts.
Rashed Al Kaabi highlighted the importance of integrating advanced technologies through this collaboration. He stated that combining FNSS's vehicle modernisation expertise with AL TAIF's maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) experience will extend the lifespan and effectiveness of the UAE Armed Forces' armoured fleet. "By bringing together FNSS’s extensive expertise in vehicle modernisation and our proven track record in MRO," he said.
Kadir Nail Kurt emphasised FNSS's role in providing cutting-edge solutions tailored to user requirements. "Leveraging our expertise in next-generation vehicle development," he noted that their capability enhancement solutions significantly improve reliability and durability. These upgrades ensure the vehicles remain effective assets for modern combat needs.
