EDGE Showcases Advanced Electronic Warfare And Radar Systems At IDEX 2025 Exhibition

EDGE, a prominent player in advanced technology and defence, has introduced a new range of electronic warfare (EW), radar, and electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) systems at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference 2025 (IDEX 2025). These innovations significantly broaden EDGE's offerings, strengthening its leadership in sensor and electromagnetic technologies crucial for modern military operations.

EDGE is showcasing its latest advancements in radars and EO/IR systems, expanding its comprehensive portfolio. The NEMUS family of multi-threat active electronically scanned array (AESA) radars is being introduced for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) tasks. Additionally, the TAWAQ family of ground radars with advanced AI capabilities represents the next generation of 3D radars.

EDGE Reveals New Defence Technologies at IDEX 2025

The MIRSAD family of EO/IR systems is also on display, designed for precise surveillance and targeting across air, naval, and ground domains. These systems incorporate state-of-the-art imaging, tracking, and laser designation technologies to enhance situational awareness and operational efficiency in challenging environments.

In the realm of electronic warfare, EDGE has unveiled two new variants of the GPS PROTECT GNSS anti-jamming system: GPS PROTECT-4 and GPS PROTECT-8. These systems use advanced digital signal processing and array antenna technology to shield GNSS receivers from radio-frequency interference signals effectively.

EDGE is also presenting two new versions of the SKYSHIELD counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS): SKYSHIELD-N for naval use and SKYSHIELD-T for trailer-mounted applications. These systems are designed to detect UAS and disrupt their command-and-control channels across the entire GNSS spectrum.

BORDERSHIELD makes its debut at IDEX 2025 as EDGE's comprehensive surveillance solution tailored for border security operations. It features AI-driven automatic detection capabilities for UAS, personnel, and vehicles up to 15km away. BORDERSHIELD integrates a high-power cellular system operating across various frequency bands with a thermal optical camera, high-resolution radar, and C2 system to deliver real-time situational awareness.

Strategic Technological Advancements

EDGE's expansion into critical EW, radar, and EO/IR technologies is supported by its newly formed Technology & Innovation (T&I) cluster. This cluster aims to accelerate innovation by optimising production through Centres of Excellence and transforming research into practical solutions. This strategic move enhances efficiency and technological leadership while reinforcing EDGE's global standing in defence technology.

This initiative underscores EDGE's commitment to maintaining sovereignty in technological advancements while solidifying its position as a leader in defence innovation worldwide.
