EDGE And Baykar Establish Strategic Partnership To Enhance Unmanned Aerial Systems Capabilities

EDGE and Baykar have entered into a Cooperation Agreement at SAHA Expo 2024. This agreement aims to enhance their collaboration in the defence sector. Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE, and Haluk Bayraktar, CEO of Baykar, formalised the partnership. The focus is on integrating EDGE's guided munitions with Baykar's unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

The collaboration will see Baykar taking the lead in integrating these advanced solutions onto its UAS platforms. EDGE will support this process by providing technical assistance. This includes designing, manufacturing, and supporting the necessary equipment for integration. The goal is to meet market demands efficiently while ensuring supply chain security.

Al Marar highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating it marks an important milestone in their ongoing collaboration. "This agreement with Baykar represents a significant milestone in further strengthening our established collaboration," he said. By integrating their solutions onto Baykar's platforms, they aim to respond swiftly to market needs and enhance customer offerings.

The partnership underscores the strategic importance of collaborating with Türkiye's established companies. It leverages Türkiye's robust defence ecosystem to deliver advanced technology efficiently and innovatively. Bayraktar expressed enthusiasm about the agreement, noting its significance in strengthening ties between the UAE and Türkiye. "Today, alongside the CEO of EDGE, one of the largest defence organisations in the UAE and one of the top 30 in the world, we signed an agreement between BAYKAR and EDGE to integrate EDGE-developed smart munitions into our platforms and for joint cooperation," he stated.

This cooperation also aims to expand both companies' market presence by delivering high-performance solutions swiftly. The integration of EDGE's munitions into Baykar's UAS platforms is expected to enhance their capabilities significantly.
