TRENDS Research Report Reveals Economic Impact Of AI In UAE And Future Growth Opportunities

TRENDS Research and Advisory is playing a significant role at the AI Everything Global Summit 2025 as a knowledge partner. They have released a report titled "The Economic Impact of Artificial Intelligence in the UAE." This report, available in English, underscores the UAE's leadership in AI and its investment strategies, positioning the nation as a global hub for artificial intelligence.

The summit, held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai, features an exhibition running until 6th February. TRENDS is showcasing a technology pavilion filled with AI-driven tools and innovations. The report anticipates that the UAE's AI market will grow to US$46.33 billion by 2030, spurred by the National AI Strategy 2031 and advanced innovation centres.

The research delves into AI's economic impact, predicting it will add AED96 billion to the UAE’s GDP by 2030. It highlights AI's transformative role across sectors like healthcare, finance, energy, and logistics. The report also emphasises public-private partnerships' significance in workforce development within these industries.

Additionally, it reviews regulatory and ethical frameworks governing AI use in the UAE. These include the UAE Charter for the Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence, data protection laws, and cybersecurity strategies designed to ensure trust and ethical growth in AI applications.

TRENDS’ team actively engaged with officials, academics, and AI specialists during the exhibition. A session was held with Abdulmajeed Abbas from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Media on leveraging AI to support knowledge and culture. This interaction highlighted regional collaboration efforts in advancing AI technologies.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, spoke about their commitment to responsibly deploying AI for research purposes. He stated that "AI is reshaping research by helping experts surpass traditional limitations and achieve groundbreaking discoveries."

Innovative Pavilion Features

Rawdha Al-Marzooqi from TRENDS presented various innovations at their pavilion. These include a smart library summarising 12 specialised books on AI topics such as "Digital Empires: The Global Battle to Regulate Technology" and "The New AI Era: Transforming Governance and Society." A virtual tour of TRENDS’ global offices was also showcased.

The pavilion features an Echo robot presenting TRENDS’ latest publications alongside an AI-powered tool introducing visitors to their research services. Additionally, a podcast studio is set up to record episodes of Trending Echoes with officials and specialists discussing current trends in artificial intelligence.

Dr. Al-Ali reiterated TRENDS’ ambition to lead globally by integrating AI into research processes. The centre aims to empower young researchers through intelligent platforms offering access to extensive databases and advanced analytical tools.
