Eagle Hills To Transform Riga's Daugava River With €3 Billion Waterfront Development

Eagle Hills has announced the launch of its latest project, "Riga Waterfront," aimed at developing the waterfront on the Daugava River in Riga, Latvia's capital. The project's investments exceed 3 billion euros. The development will feature around 8,000 designed residential units, accommodating over 30,000 residents. Additionally, it will include over 1,000 hospitality units, ice-skating rinks, a marina, a shopping centre, and public green spaces.

The project was unveiled in Riga in the presence of Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Mohamed Al Abbar, Founder and Chairman of Eagle Hills Properties; along with dignitaries and investors from the UAE and Latvia. Dr. Al Zeyoudi highlighted the strengthening ties between the UAE and Latvia, noting substantial growth in trade and investment relations across various sectors.

Dr. Al Zeyoudi emphasized that the "Riga Waterfront" project underscores the deepening partnership between the UAE and Latvia. He identified Latvia as a key economic and investment partner in the Baltic region. Both nations are focused on boosting collaboration in several areas of mutual interest.

Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh remarked on the significant advancements in UAE-Latvia relations over recent years. He attributed this progress to multiple cooperation agreements designed to create business opportunities in both countries. The new Emirati-funded project signifies a shared commitment to enhancing collaboration in priority sectors, reflecting ongoing positive developments in their bilateral relationship.

Strategic Vision for Riga

Mohamed Al Abbar stated that the project reflects a strategic vision for developing Latvia and its capital, Riga. The aim is to transform it into Europe's new centre by turning the site into a vibrant hub offering a harmonious blend of luxury residential buildings, green spaces, and an active community life with a direct waterfront view.
