Brand Dubai And Ferjan Dubai Launch Competition For Best Decorated Ramadan Homes In Dubai
Brand Dubai, part of the Government of Dubai Media Office, and Ferjan Dubai have introduced a competition titled "Dubai's Best Decorated Ramadan Homes." This contest invites Dubai residents to creatively decorate their homes during Ramadan. The initiative offers significant prizes, including AED100,000 for first place, AED60,000 for second, and AED40,000 for third. Additionally, seven participants will win Umrah trips for two.
The competition is part of the 'Year of the Community' initiative. It aims to strengthen cultural heritage and foster community connections. By encouraging festive home decorations, it ensures traditions are preserved meaningfully for future generations. The event highlights the importance of creativity in enhancing social bonds within Dubai.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, stated that the city thrives on community creativity and innovation. She noted that festive celebrations unite people. "By transforming their homes with festive decorations and lights, residents contribute to a collective celebration that extends beyond their doorsteps," she said.
Participants must follow specific guidelines: only Dubai residents can enter; home facades should feature lights and decorations; the #RamadanInDubai logo can be used; videos should creatively reflect the "Year of the Community" theme. Entries must be uploaded as Instagram Reels on public accounts with specific tags and hashtags.
The submission deadline is 21st March. A judging panel will evaluate entries based on visual appeal and innovation. To ensure diverse representation across Dubai, winners will not be chosen from the same neighbourhood. This approach encourages widespread participation throughout the city.
Ferjan Dubai sees this competition as a chance to enhance neighbourhood ties. CEO Aliya Al Shamlan remarked on its significance in reinforcing social connections through traditions. "Decorating homes is more than just a festive gesture," she said.
Strengthening Social Bonds
Sarah Merdas from the #RamadanInDubai campaign team highlighted how this initiative celebrates Ramadan's unique spirit in Dubai. She emphasised its role in showcasing traditions while enhancing neighbourhood unity. Participating families contribute to the city's charm and create lasting memories that strengthen community bonds.
The #RamadanInDubai campaign is now in its second year. Led by Brand Dubai with government and private sector partners, it aims to enrich Dubai's festive atmosphere during Ramadan by promoting cultural celebrations throughout this holy month.
