Dubai World Trade Centre Free Zone Grows To Encompass One Za’abeel

The Dubai World Trade Centre Authority (DWTCA) has officially extended its jurisdiction to now include One Za'abeel, a distinguished landmark developed by the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD). This strategic expansion, underpinned by Decree No. 18 of 2024 from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, marks a significant milestone in the integration of this iconic mixed-use development into DWTCA's Free Zone.

The decree enables entities within One Za'abeel to benefit from the Free Zone's comprehensive advantages such as 100% foreign ownership, no customs duties, dual-licensing options, 0% Corporate Tax, streamlined visa and permit procedures, and a variety of flexible office solutions. This move is expected to enhance the appeal of One Za'abeel to businesses and organisations, offering them a competitive edge in Dubai’s central business district.

Issam Galadari, Director of One Za'abeel Holdings, highlighted the strategic importance of One Za'abeel's location and its established infrastructure, which positions it as a prime hub for business and prosperity in Dubai. The inclusion into the DWTCA Free Zone provides tenants, including those in The Offices and the upcoming retail Podium, with significant opportunities for growth and consolidation in a vibrant business community.

Abdalla Al Banna, VP of Free Zone Regulatory Operations at DWTCA, emphasized the Free Zone's role in creating a competitive, regulated ecosystem that attracts global companies, innovators, and entrepreneurs. The incorporation of One Za'abeel is seen as an enhancement of DWTCA's position as a commerce and enterprise hub, directly supporting businesses and SMEs aligned with Dubai's Economic Agenda D33.

One Za'abeel The Offices boasts 26,000 sqm of Grade-A office space across 17 levels, complemented by premium amenities and services.
