Dubai Women’s Talks At Sikka Festival Celebrates Emirati Women’s Creativity
The Dubai Women Establishment, guided by H.H. Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, recently hosted a significant event titled "Dubai Women's Talks" as part of the Sikka Arts and Design Platform. This session, focusing on "Unleashing her Creativity," spotlighted the creative accomplishments and journey of Amna Abulhoul, Executive Creative Director of Events and Entertainment at Expo City Dubai. The event aimed to celebrate and bring to light the contributions of Emirati women in the realms of culture and arts.
Notable attendees included Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of Dubai Sports Council; Naeema Ahli, Acting CEO of Dubai Women Establishment; and Sultana Saif, Director of the Women Development Department at Dubai Women Establishment. The discussion was expertly moderated by Diala Al Ali, offering insights into Abulhoul's path from her academic days at the College of Arts and Design to her pivotal role in Expo Dubai 2020.

The session underscored the critical role that opportunities play in nurturing creativity and professional advancement. Naeema Ahli lauded the "Dubai Women's Talks" initiative as a vital platform for promoting women's innovation and leadership across various sectors. This initiative is part of the broader strategy for 2023-2027 by the Dubai Women Establishment to foster cultural and knowledge exchange, reflecting Sheikha Manal's dedication to showcasing Emirati women's achievements in culture and arts.
Ahli also commended the partnership between Dubai Women Establishment and Dubai Culture and Arts Authority for its role in enhancing strategic collaborations and facilitating best practice exchanges. This cooperation includes joint programs aimed at emphasizing the cultural contributions of Emirati women and supporting cultural and knowledge exchange among future leaders.
During her talk, Amna Abulhoul shared valuable insights into her career milestones, including her participation in the Disneyland World Competition which significantly influenced her professional trajectory. She highlighted her experiences as Creative Director of Expo Dubai 2020, particularly the challenges encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic. Abulhoul expressed gratitude for the support from Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy and stressed the importance of trust in achieving success.
Abulhoul also reflected on her involvement in the Dhai Dubai Light Art Festival, emphasizing its role in showcasing the country's culture and attracting global innovators. She acknowledged the support provided by exhibitions and festivals organized by Dubai Culture in aiding artists throughout their creative endeavors.
