Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and supported by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, the 27th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) will be organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). This event will take place from 30 September to 2 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

WETEX is recognised as a significant global sustainability event. It is the largest in the region for energy, water, green development, sustainability, and related sectors. The exhibition ranks among the largest specialised events of its kind worldwide. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, emphasised that support from wise leadership has allowed WETEX to become a leading global event over its 25-year history.

WETEX Exhibition Set for September in Dubai

Al Tayer stated that "WETEX promotes the UAE's pioneering position in the Middle East and North Africa in adopting renewable energy technologies to meet energy demand." The event aligns with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy and Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. It strengthens Dubai's status as a global hub for green economy and sustainable development.

The exhibition annually gathers thousands of companies from both government and private sectors worldwide. It also attracts numerous local and international government representatives, decision-makers, professionals, researchers, experts, and specialists. They come together to exchange experiences on new technologies contributing to a more sustainable future.

Last year’s WETEX drew 50,598 visitors globally with participation from 2,800 exhibitors across 65 countries. The exhibition hosted 21 international pavilions showcasing cutting-edge technologies in energy, water, clean energy, digital transformation, cyber security, smart cities, green mobility among other sectors.

The Green Mobility Zone was a highlight at WETEX along with forums like Future Energy Landscape Forum focusing on sustainability in oil and gas sector. The Health and Safety Hub featured prominently alongside a Leadership Roundtable involving key leaders and executives.

Workshops and Panel Discussions

A series of workshops were held during WETEX focusing on facilities available in Dubai for companies wishing to establish offices or branches there.
