Dubai T100 Triathlon Weekend Welcomes Amateur Triathletes For 2025 Event

The Dubai Sports Council (DSC) has announced the return of the Dubai T100 Triathlon Weekend, scheduled from 13th to 16th November 2025. This event, in partnership with the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), promises an expanded experience for participants. Registration is now open for amateur triathletes in both the 100km race and Sprint distance categories.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), highlighted that this event underscores Dubai's dedication to enhancing its global sports tourism profile. It aligns with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. He mentioned that the previous edition in 2024 was a notable success and anticipates even greater international interest this year, which will further bolster Dubai’s economy.

Dubai T100 Triathlon Opens to Amateurs

Eisa Sharif, Director of Sports Events at DSC, shared plans for the 2025 edition. "For 2025, we are working closely with the PTO to expand all three race categories. In addition, we will introduce a Schools Event and a Corporate Relay, further enhancing community engagement and reinforcing our vision of promoting healthy, active lifestyles to improve the quality of life in Dubai."

The T100 Triathlon has previously attracted top-tier athletes, including Olympic champions. The inaugural event crowned Belgium’s Marten Van Riel and America’s Taylor Knibb as the first-ever men’s and women’s T100 World Champions due to their remarkable performances.

Sam Renouf, CEO of the Professional Triathletes Organisation, expressed enthusiasm about building on past successes. "The 2024 Dubai T100 Triathlon was a huge success, quickly becoming a bucket-list race on the new T100 World Tour. We’re thrilled to be building on that momentum by creating more opportunities for amateur athletes - and now, corporate teams - to participate in a festival-like celebration of swim, bike, and run around the iconic Meydan Racecourse."

The T100 Triathlon World Tour for 2025 has already made stops in Singapore, San Francisco, and Vancouver. The upcoming race is set to take place in London this August.

This year's event aims to enhance community involvement through new initiatives like school events and corporate relays. These additions are part of DSC's strategy to promote active lifestyles among residents while improving overall quality of life in Dubai.
