Dubai Studio City Achieves Over 12% Growth In Global Creative Talent Community For First Half Of 2024

Dubai Studio City, a key player in the Middle East's content creation industry, experienced over 11.5% growth in its creative talent community in the first half of 2024. This hub, part of TECOM Group PJSC’s diverse business districts across Dubai, is highlighting its expanding global talent network as a Platinum Partner at the Broadcast India show from 17th to 19th October in Mumbai.

Indian professionals at Dubai Studio City, along with those at Dubai Media City and Dubai Production City, contribute significantly to sectors like film, TV, radio production, advertising, and media support services. These three locations together form TECOM Group’s Media Cluster. The cluster serves as a vital link for Indian creatives aiming to reach global audiences.

Dubai Studio City Sees Talent Growth in 2024

The city acts as a gateway for diverse audiences by empowering talent through initiatives such as the Golden Visa programme. This initiative has attracted prominent Indian cinematic and creative figures in recent years. The strategic alignment with the Dubai Film and TV Commission further enhances its appeal by supporting various content production activities.

Majed Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Studio City, Dubai Media City, and Dubai Production City at TECOM Group, stated: "International companies and talent are leveraging our ecosystem to ideate, produce, and innovate content to serve these new audience needs." His statement underscores the city's role in fostering creativity and innovation.

Dubai Studio City's facilities include some of the region's largest sound stages where more than 358,000 minutes of original content have been recorded. These facilities hosted shoots and recording sessions over 198 calendar days. The district offers seamless shooting experiences for producers, film crews, and filmmakers.

The Media Cluster is home to over 3,500 local, regional, and international clients and more than 38,000 creative professionals. It also supports future-focused storytellers through in5 Media. This industry-specific vertical is part of TECOM Group’s start-up incubator in5 that nurtures entrepreneurship.
