Dubai Startup Guide Launched To Assist Entrepreneurs In Navigating Business Landscape

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has released the Dubai Startup Guide. This guide is a detailed resource for entrepreneurs and startups looking to establish their businesses in Dubai. It provides an extensive overview of the startup ecosystem in Dubai, including essential information on legal requirements, business setup options, and funding opportunities.

The guide's release coincides with Expand North Star 2024, the largest global event for startups and investors. Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the chamber, this event will take place at Dubai Harbour from Sunday until 16th October. It aims to bring together founders, investors, entrepreneurs, and corporate innovators to explore growth opportunities in Dubai's digital economy.

Dubai Launches Comprehensive Startup Guide

The guide offers sector-specific guidelines for establishing startups in ten areas of the digital economy. These sectors include artificial intelligence, 3D printing, cybersecurity, digital assets, fintech, edtech, gaming, healthtech, software/SaaS, and the metaverse/Web3. Each section details specialised free zones, accelerators, business incubators, sandboxes, events, and regulations related to each sector.

Dubai's startup ecosystem is supported by various key entities focused on empowering new businesses. The guide lists these entities along with information about accelerators, business incubators, sandboxes, and free zones available in Dubai. This comprehensive support network is designed to help startups thrive in the emirate.

The guide aims to assist both local and international startups in navigating Dubai's business landscape. It empowers them to make informed decisions by leveraging Dubai's unique position as a global business hub. Practical advice and access to online resources are provided alongside recommendations for tailored support to help entrepreneurs confidently start or expand their businesses in Dubai.

This year's Expand North Star event expects around 1,200 vetted invite-only investors. Senior partners from these funds will connect with approximately 1,800 showcasing startups from over 100 countries worldwide. This represents the highest number of late-stage startups at any global event.

The record number of participants highlights the event’s significant growth and importance within the global digital economy landscape. The gathering serves as a catalyst for future developments in this rapidly evolving sector.
