Dubai Unveils Shared Digital Channels Initiative To Enhance User-Centred Digital Governance
Dubai has introduced the Shared Digital Channels Initiative, a collaborative effort with various government bodies to create a unified digital government model. This initiative aims to simplify service access for residents, businesses, and visitors through integrated platforms. The launch was attended by Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary-General of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai.
The initiative envisions seven specialised platforms: Dubai Now for individuals, Invest in Dubai for businesses, Visit Dubai for tourism, and four others focusing on transportation, justice, construction, and trade. Digital Dubai leads this initiative to oversee these shared channels. This aligns with the city's strategy to digitalise life and enhance its global standing in digital service delivery.

Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori stated that digital channels have been pivotal in recent successes. "Digital channels have consistently been a key driver of our success in recent years," he said. He emphasised the need for innovation to advance Shared Digital Channels and create a fully integrated digital lifestyle using technologies like artificial intelligence.
Mattar Al Tayer from the Roads and Transport Authority highlighted the importance of shared digital platforms. "Digital channels have become the primary means through which customers access a wide array of government services," he noted. These platforms allow customers to perceive the government as a single entity capable of meeting their needs efficiently.
The initiative supports Dubai’s 360 Services Policy by transforming service delivery into unified platforms. It aims to deliver personalised services through a unified customer profile across platforms. This approach optimises processes and offers seamless experiences while integrating public and private sector services.
Strategic Vision and Goals
Helal Saeed Almarri from the Department of Economy and Tourism remarked on Dubai's digital transformation journey. "Dubai’s digital transformation reflects the foresight of our leadership," he said. The initiative ensures government services are world-class and integrated into daily life, aligning with leadership's ambition for a digital-first future.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem from DP World stressed the importance of unifying service channels to boost economic activity. "Unifying service and digital experience channels is essential to accelerating economic activity in Dubai," he stated. This milestone enhances efficiency across sectors and attracts investors by providing robust support for economic growth.
Impact on Various Sectors
Prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi from Dubai Courts highlighted how shared channels enhance quality of life in Dubai. He mentioned that easy access to services is crucial for modern cities. "The ease of access to services is a key criterion for modern and future cities," he affirmed.
The initiative aims to set new standards in customer experience by offering high-quality digital services powered by advanced technologies like AI. It supports developing an exceptional digital service ecosystem, making it easier for users to access various services through these unified channels.
Commitment to Innovation
Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita from Dubai Municipality emphasised shared channels' role in building a comprehensive digital ecosystem. He stated that these channels facilitate coordinated service access through integrated data exchange within an interconnected framework.
This initiative represents a significant step towards creating a future-ready digital ecosystem that improves quality of life, attracts global enterprises, and fosters innovation in service delivery—creating smarter experiences that simplify life for individuals and businesses alike.
