Dubai Achieves Record Of 437 Successful Bids For Global Business Events In 2024
Dubai has solidified its reputation as a premier destination for international conferences, congresses, and corporate meetings in 2024. The city has secured 437 events across various sectors, marking a 20% increase from the previous year. This achievement, led by Dubai Business Events (DBE), highlights Dubai's growing influence as a global hub for business gatherings.
The influx of events is projected to draw approximately 210,731 delegates to Dubai over the next few years. This will significantly impact the city's travel and tourism sectors while fostering knowledge exchange and professional networking opportunities. The collaborative efforts of public and private sectors have been pivotal in establishing Dubai as an accessible and welcoming MICE destination.

Business events are crucial to achieving the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33. They play a vital role in enhancing Dubai's status as a leading global city for both business and leisure activities. These events contribute to the city's economic growth by attracting more visitors and showcasing its thriving knowledge economy.
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, stated: "Guided by the vision of our city’s leadership, business events continue to play a vital role in bolstering tourism to Dubai and supporting its wider economic priorities. The healthy increase in successful bids in 2024 is further proof of Dubai’s rising prominence as a destination that delivers not only world-class business events infrastructure and capabilities but also provides unrivalled, memorable experiences for all organisers and delegates."
Among the significant wins are several high-profile conferences scheduled for upcoming years. These include the 2025 WFNS World Congress of Neurosurgery with 4,000 attendees, the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit & Mayor Summit hosting 1,200 participants, and the 2025 Pan Arab Radiology Conference with 1,500 delegates. Additionally, Dubai will host the 2026 Global Symposium on Health System Research with 3,000 attendees.
Incentive events also feature prominently among Dubai's achievements. The city will welcome the 2025 Oppo Guangdong Incentive with 4,000 participants and the 2025 Loyal Connect Global event with 3,000 delegates. Other notable gatherings include the Forever Living Global Rally in 2026 with an expected attendance of 12,000 people.
Collaborative Efforts and Industry Engagement
DBE has actively engaged with industry professionals worldwide through trade shows like IMEX Frankfurt and IBTM World. These engagements aim to expand Dubai's business events landscape further. The Al Safeer Congress Ambassador Programme is another key initiative that involves local experts in securing more events for the city.
Partnerships with prominent industry bodies such as BestCities Global Alliance and IAPCO have strengthened DBE's strategic efforts. These collaborations help attract more delegates to Dubai while enhancing its position in the global business events arena.
This success follows significant milestones achieved in 2024. Notably, ICCA ranked Dubai as the top city in the Middle East for hosting association meetings. Such accolades underscore Dubai's status as a leading meeting destination within the region.
The continued focus on innovation and infrastructure development ensures that Dubai remains competitive globally. As it attracts diverse talent from around the world, it reinforces its role as a knowledge hub where expertise thrives alongside cultural exchange opportunities.
