Dubai Science Park Expansion Enhances Storage And Logistics By 147%

Dubai Science Park is set to significantly expand its storage and logistics capacity by 147 percent, addressing the increasing demand for Grade-A spaces amid a rising global appetite for research and development (R&D). This announcement was made during the BIO International Convention held in California from 3rd to 6th June.

The new storage and logistics spaces will span 200,000 sq.ft., empowering over 500 customers, including global leaders in life, energy, and environmental sciences such as AstraZeneca, Pfizer, BeiGene, and GE Healthcare. Additionally, it will support 6,500 professionals across these sectors to accelerate regional R&D innovation.

Dubai Park's Big Logistics Leap

Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park at TECOM Group PJSC, emphasised the importance of scientific innovation for national progress. He stated that enabling the regional scientific industry to reach its full potential requires addressing the needs of researchers and thinkers who are redefining the future.

Dubai Science Park unites leading minds across research, testing, manufacturing, and distribution with the necessary ecosystem and infrastructure to achieve business objectives and drive sustainable growth. As localised R&D and innovation align with the Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’, Dubai Research and Development Programme, and We the UAE 2031 strategies, the demand for an industry-dedicated destination like Dubai Science Park is expected to grow.

The project is due for completion next year and will increase the total gross leasable storage area to 336,000 sq.ft. Dubai Science Park serves as the storage and logistics base for global industry leaders including Epygen Labs, Elixir Pharma, and Al Wakeel Recycling.
