Dubai RTA Partners With The Co-Spaces For Innovative Co-Working Space At Burjuman Metro
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a pioneering collaboration with The Co-Spaces, a prominent business incubator accredited by Dubai SME. This partnership introduces WO-RK, an innovative co-working space concept set to launch in Q2 of 2024 on a trial basis. Located within the bustling Burjuman Metro Station, WO-RK is designed to provide an accessible, affordable, and inspiring workspace that leverages the Dubai Metro network for seamless accessibility. This initiative aims to reduce traffic congestion, lower carbon emissions from 'first or last mile' travel, and promote a sustainable urban environment.
WO-RK is tailored to meet the changing needs of today's workforce by offering a hybrid workspace that goes beyond traditional fixed work environments. Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director of Commercial and Investment at RTA, expressed pride in this venture, stating it aligns with RTA's strategic goals and the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 to make Dubai the world’s best city for living. The success of WO-RK in Burjuman Metro Station could lead to further expansions across the metro network.

Shahzad Bhatti, founder of The Co-Spaces, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration with RTA, highlighting WO-RK as a revolutionary co-working concept that embodies innovation, accessibility, and community well-being. This partnership is poised to redefine the future of workspaces in Dubai by offering convenience, flexibility, and community engagement.
In addition to its physical workspace offerings, WO-RK distinguishes itself by providing essential business support services such as assistance in obtaining mainland licences, Ejari, and business addresses. It also supports the growth and development of businesses through educational and mentorship programs. Furthermore, WO-RK emphasizes community engagement by designing shared spaces that encourage socialization among members through activities like shared meals, meetings, and networking events. The co-working space adopts a holistic approach by organizing various events, workshops, and classes to foster a sense of community among its diverse members.
This initiative not only caters to the evolving needs of individuals seeking flexible work environments but also contributes significantly to Dubai's vision of fostering a sustainable and integrated urban landscape. As WO-RK prepares to welcome its first members in 2024, it stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts of RTA and The Co-Spaces in shaping the future of workspaces in Dubai.
