Dubai Public Prosecution Unveils Digital System For Streamlined Remote Investigation And Litigation

The Dubai Public Prosecution (DPP) has embarked on a strategic partnership with e& Enterprise, marking a significant leap towards digitalizing the judicial system in Dubai. This collaboration aims to introduce a centralized digital platform designed to enhance remote investigation and litigation processes. The initiative aligns with Dubai's broader objective of modernizing its judicial system to meet the highest international standards, underpinning the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to elevate the efficiency and speed of judicial services to global leadership status.

The agreement, inked by Counsellor Dr. Ali Humaid bin Khatam, Senior Advocate General and Head of the Remote Investigation and Litigation System Project Team, alongside Salvador Anglada, CEO of e& Enterprise, sets the stage for the development of an intelligent platform. This platform will integrate the operations of critical stakeholders such as Dubai Courts, Dubai Police, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), managed centrally by the DPP.

Dubai's New Digital Judicial System

Dr. bin Khatam highlighted the project's pioneering nature, noting its status as a world-first in integrating diverse judicial stakeholders through a centralized operations hub. This hub is tasked with overseeing operations, ensuring swift decision-making, and aligning all parties with the project's goals. The implementation of this system is crucial for enhancing judicial procedures, improving data collection, and generating vital statistics like case handling times and investigation durations.

The central operations room is designed to streamline investigation processes by managing prosecutor appointments and coordinating court sessions with partners including police, judges, and prosecutors. This setup not only facilitates direct system access but also provides an external link for seamless participation by external parties.

With a completion target set for 2026, this initiative promises to bolster the efficiency of investigation and litigation processes, strengthen the judicial system, and improve justice delivery in Dubai by focusing on speed, accuracy, and integrity. It also aims to ensure operational resilience during crises. Dr. bin Khatam affirmed DPP's full commitment to supporting this project in line with the agreement.

Anglada expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Dubai Public Prosecution to support their digital transformation journey. By leveraging innovative technology, e& Enterprise aims to provide a cutting-edge platform that enhances operational capabilities and service quality. This collaboration is a step towards realizing a more accessible, efficient, and progressive legal system in an interconnected world.

The new platform will offer a unified system for remote investigation and litigation, featuring centralized storage and archiving capabilities. It will also enable scheduling remote interviews and reserving spaces across multiple locations such as police stations, prisons, courts, and DPP investigation rooms. This initiative represents a significant advancement in making judicial processes more efficient and accessible in Dubai.
