Dubai Police Celebrates Historic Graduation Of UAE's First Female Land Rescue Team
The Dubai Police recently marked a significant milestone by graduating the first batch of female land rescue officers. This group consists of 18 non-commissioned officers, a pioneering achievement at the national level. The ceremony was graced by several high-ranking officials, including Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.
Lt. Gen. Al Marri praised the graduates for their dedication and highlighted the importance of empowering women in security roles. "This approach aims to strengthen their ability to perform their duties effectively and professionally, equipping them to handle emergencies with expertise," he stated. He also noted that Emirati women are vital contributors to the nation's progress in various fields, including policing.

Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commandant for Operation Affairs, also extended his congratulations to the graduates. He commended them for successfully completing courses that mirrored real-life situations and acknowledged their proficiency in managing incidents and reports with high standards.
The training programme included practical exercises such as road accident rescues, firefighting, vehicle door opening techniques, and using aerial balloons. These scenarios were designed to prepare the graduates for real-world challenges they might face in their roles.
The graduates expressed immense pride in being pioneers in land rescue operations within Dubai Police. They appreciated the Force's commitment to their development and training, which underscores its dedication to empowering women in both security and policing sectors.
Brigadier Dr. Saleh Al Hamrani, Acting Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering, along with other senior officials like Brigadier Nabil Al Rida and Colonel Expert Khalid Al Hammadi, attended the event. Their presence underscored the significance of this achievement for Dubai Police.
Commitment to Training
Maj. Gen. Al Ghaithi praised the 18 graduates for showcasing exceptional skills during their training sessions. He acknowledged their strong commitment to proving their competence in rescue operations, extraction tasks, and recovery missions.
The Commander-in-Chief emphasised that this initiative is part of Dubai Police's broader strategy to enhance women's roles across various security domains through comprehensive training programmes that combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
