Dubai Police Lead Major Operation To Dismantle Vraçarci International Crime Gang
Dubai Police, under the UAE Ministry of Interior, have dismantled a significant transnational criminal group known as the "Vraçarci" clan. This achievement followed the arrest of its leader, Marko Dordevic, in Dubai. The operation was part of "Haris," a multinational effort involving Europol, the Serbian Ministry of Interior, and the Spanish National Police.
Authorities confirmed that Dordevic's arrest was coordinated with the Ministry of Interior and Dubai Public Prosecution. This action was based on an INTERPOL Red Notice and adhered to UAE legal procedures. Intelligence from international investigations into Balkan gang conflicts prompted this move. These rivalries have led to numerous violent incidents since 2014.

Serbian investigations identified Dordevic as a leader within the Vraçarci faction linked to the Kavac clan. This identification followed a crime in Belgrade on 16 October 2025. Coordination efforts traced Dordevic to Dubai, leading to his arrest. This breakthrough was crucial in dismantling the gang's leadership structure.
As part of Operation "Haris," Serbian authorities arrested ten suspects and conducted 22 raids across various regions. They seized encrypted devices, vehicles, luxury watches, and approximately €300,000 in cash. Concurrently, Spanish authorities detained two more suspects during operations in Valencia and Barcelona.
The successful apprehension of Dordevic by Dubai Police completed a vital component of the international investigation. This action ensured that necessary evidence was available for judicial proceedings. The operation highlighted Dubai Police's advanced technical capabilities and rapid response.
Global Security Commitment
The success of Operation "Haris" underscores the UAE's dedication to global security and law enforcement collaboration. It aligns with the country's vision of promoting stability worldwide by disrupting cross-border criminal organisations.
Security cooperation data with Spain shows 26 intelligence exchanges between both sides. These efforts contributed to tracking international criminal networks and resulted in 29 arrests and four extraditions. This reflects the depth and effectiveness of ongoing partnerships between Dubai Police and Spanish authorities.
European, Serbian, and Spanish security reports praised Dubai Police for their central role in intelligence sharing during this operation. Their adherence to international policing standards reinforces the UAE's position as a key partner against organised crime.
