Dubai Municipality Reports Over 31 Million Visitors To Parks And Facilities In 2024
Dubai Municipality reported that its parks and recreational areas attracted over 31 million visitors in 2024, marking a 7% rise from the previous year. This increase highlights the Municipality's ongoing efforts to improve these spaces, establishing them as top recreational and tourist spots offering diverse leisure activities for both residents and tourists across Dubai.
In 2024, more than 20.8 million people visited public parks in Dubai. The city's five major parks—Zabeel Park, Mushrif Park, Al Mamzar Beach Park, Dubai Creek Park, and Safa Park—together welcomed 6.69 million visitors. Additionally, the Quranic Park saw 1.8 million visitors, while Dubai Frame attracted 1.59 million.

Children’s City recorded over 112,000 visitors last year. Cycling, mountain biking, and pedestrian tracks across various parks and facilities had 1.49 million users. Playgrounds also drew significant attention with around 180,000 visitors enjoying these amenities.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, noted the increasing popularity of public parks and recreational facilities. He stated that their world-class urban design focuses on comfort and engaging experiences for all users. "The remarkable visitor numbers recorded in 2024 reflect the appeal of Dubai’s public parks and facilities as dynamic leisure and tourism destinations," he said.
Anwahi also highlighted the Municipality's dedication to future-focused planning and development strategies. "We are dedicated to implementing long-term strategies aimed at enhancing Dubai’s parks and public spaces," he added. The focus is on creating vibrant community hubs that can host various events while boosting investment opportunities within these spaces.
The Municipality manages over 220 public parks and recreational facilities which hosted 1,283 events in 2024. These events included cultural, sporting, and community activities such as Farmers Souq, Souq Al Freej, Future Trader, Unique Weekend, Welcome New Year celebrations, Dubai Fitness Challenge, and the Grand Picnic.
Operational Efficiency Improvements
Significant advancements have been made in operational efficiency by achieving a 98% efficiency rate in preventive maintenance through strategic planning. This includes upgrading operational systems to enhance visitor experiences while implementing sustainability-focused projects to improve facility management.
Dubai’s parks continue to be among the most accessible destinations for high-quality leisure experiences for both residents and tourists alike. With state-of-the-art facilities and comprehensive municipal services available throughout these areas.
The Municipality remains committed to enhancing Dubai's attractiveness by focusing on sustainability initiatives that align with objectives like the Dubia Urban Plan 2024 or Quality of Life Strategy 2033 along with making it pedestrian-friendly through initiatives like Walk Masterplan ensuring green spaces remain integral parts within this rapidly developing cityscape.
