Dubai Municipality Highlights Innovation And Sustainability In Construction At Big 5 Global 2024

Dubai Municipality is actively participating in the Big 5 Global event, a major international gathering for the construction industry. This event is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 26th to 29th November 2024. The municipality's aim is to highlight its recent initiatives in advancing the construction and building sector within Dubai.

The event provides a platform for exploring new practices and innovations in construction. It also offers opportunities to establish collaborations and strengthen partnerships with global industry leaders. Dawoud Al Hajri, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, stated, "Our participation in the Big 5 Global reflects our commitment to advancing sustainable urban planning and smart building systems."

Al Hajri emphasised that their goal is to utilise all resources to develop a smart, sustainable construction sector. This aligns with their vision of making Dubai a leading, attractive city globally. Maryam Obaid Al Muhairi, CEO of the Buildings Regulation and Permits Agency at Dubai Municipality, noted that the exhibition allows them to showcase integrated services in construction and geospatial systems. She highlighted efforts to promote modern practices like 3D printing and Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Dubai Municipality's involvement extends beyond just showcasing at the event. They are also participating in the GeoWorld Exhibition and Conference, which focuses on geographic information technology and spatial data. Additionally, they are part of the LiveableCitiesX Conference aimed at promoting urban sustainability.

The municipality will have a significant presence at the Big 5 Leaders' Summit. Here, they will engage with key figures from both private and public sectors to develop regional construction strategies. At the Future Tech Summit, they will highlight transformative technologies for the industry.
