Dubai International Chamber Welcomes Eight Multinational Companies In Early 2024
Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, has reported significant achievements in Q1 2024. The chamber has successfully attracted foreign direct investment to Dubai and supported local companies in expanding into global markets, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
The chamber recorded a 48% year-over-year (YoY) growth in the number of multinational companies (MNCs) and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) it attracted to Dubai. The number increased from 25 in Q1 2023 to 37 in Q1 2024. This growth underscores Dubai’s appeal to global investors and its status as a prime business hub.

Among the companies attracted in the first quarter of 2024 were eight MNCs, up from five in Q1 2023, marking a 60% YoY growth. Additionally, 29 SMEs were drawn to Dubai, a 45% increase compared to the 20 SMEs attracted during the same period last year.
Dubai International Chamber also facilitated the expansion of 21 local companies into new global markets during Q1 2024. Through various programmes and initiatives, the chamber assisted these companies with exporting to new countries, establishing overseas presence, and forming joint ventures with local businesses in target markets.
This support represents a 200% increase compared to Q1 2023, when only seven businesses were assisted with international expansion.
Leadership's Perspective
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai International Chamber, stated, "We are continuing to step up our efforts to attract international companies and investors to the emirate while advancing the expansion of local companies into promising global markets. These activities form a key part of our drive to contribute to advancing sustainable development and achieving the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33)."
He further highlighted the role of the chamber's network of 31 international representative offices. "Our offices are central to our plans to consolidate Dubai’s position as a leading global destination for foreign direct investments and a launchpad for expansion into new markets worldwide," he added.
The achievements of Dubai International Chamber in Q1 2024 reflect its ongoing commitment to fostering economic growth and supporting both international investors and local businesses. The chamber's efforts align with the broader goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), positioning Dubai as a key player on the global business stage.
