Sheikh Hamdan Explores Innovations At The 30th Dubai International Boat Show

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, recently visited the 30th edition of the Dubai International Boat Show, hosted by the Dubai World Trade Centre at Dubai Harbour. This event, renowned as the largest and most established marine lifestyle show in the Middle East, has successfully brought together over 1,000 brands from 55 countries, highlighting its status as a pivotal gathering for the global maritime industry.

The Crown Prince emphasized the event's alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to position Dubai as a global hub that merges traditional strengths with innovative possibilities. He also noted the show's contribution to the Dubai Economic Agenda D33's goal of making Dubai one of the top three destinations for tourism and business within the next decade.

Dubai Boat Show 2024: Sheikh Hamdan's Tour

With more than 200 crafts on display over five days, the Dubai International Boat Show has showcased significant innovations and trends shaping the maritime industry. Among the highlights was the 80 Sunreef Power Eco, an electric motor yacht that stands out for its sustainability technology and energy efficiency. This year's edition not only underscores Dubai's role in fostering global partnerships but also marks a new chapter of growth for the maritime sector.

During his tour, Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied by Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism and Dubai World Trade Centre Authority; and Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, and Senior Advisor to Dubai International Boat Show. Their presence underscores the importance of this event in promoting innovation and sustainability within the maritime industry.

Since its inception in 1992, the Dubai International Boat Show has evolved into one of the world’s most prestigious boat shows. The 30th edition, running from 28 February to 3 March, not only highlights exceptional craftsmanship but also offers a comprehensive platform for premiering new innovations, launching new products, and exploring business opportunities with industry leaders and pioneers.
