Dubai International Arbitration Centre Unveils DANA By DIAC Powered By Opus 2 For Enhanced Arbitration Experience

Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) has unveiled its new arbitration platform, DANA by DIAC, developed in partnership with Opus 2, a renowned disputes software provider. This platform aims to connect parties, legal professionals, neutrals, and the DIAC Case Management Team within a unified environment. It offers centralised e-filing, case registration, and document submission features to enhance case management and streamline daily operations.

The introduction of DANA by DIAC marks a significant advancement in providing a modern and efficient dispute resolution experience. Available from January 2026, it promises transparency, consistency, and improved accessibility for all involved. The platform's name, DANA, is inspired by Dubai's cultural heritage. In the Arabian Gulf, "Dana" signifies a precious pearl, reflecting the region's historic pearling industry.

DIAC Launches DANA Arbitration Platform

Jehad Kazim, Executive Director of DIAC, stated that their aim has always been to offer dispute resolution services that are efficient and accessible. "The launch of DANA by DIAC powered by Opus 2 reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence," Kazim said. This initiative ensures users benefit from a seamless arbitration experience.

The name DANA also carries meanings in other languages: in Persian, "Dānā" means "wise," while in Hebrew it is the feminine form of Dan and translates as "arbiter." This thoughtful naming underscores DIAC's vision as a centre of excellence and aligns with its role as a leading arbitral institution.

Robert Stephen, Registrar of DIAC, emphasised that "DANA by DIAC powered by Opus 2 strengthens confidence in DIAC arbitration by providing a reliable and secure environment for managing our cases." He added that it reflects their focus on high standards and delivering unparalleled customer service.

Streamlining Workflows

DANA by DIAC consolidates key arbitration processes through digitisation. By streamlining workflows and reducing administrative burdens, it enables real-time collaboration among stakeholders. This solution enhances the Centre’s offerings significantly.

Oliver McClintock, Chief Commercial Officer at Opus 2, expressed pride in their collaboration with DIAC. He noted that "DANA by DIAC powered by Opus 2 exemplifies how technology can elevate and streamline arbitration." McClintock highlighted their shared vision to transform the future of arbitration.

This new platform represents an important step forward for DIAC in delivering secure dispute resolution services. It ensures transparency and efficiency while maintaining high standards of customer service. The collaboration between DIAC and Opus 2 positions them at the forefront of innovation in international arbitration.
