Dubai Strengthens Trade Ties Hosting China's 135th Canton Fair Conference
In a significant move to bolster trade and economic relations, the Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair), a premier international trade event, recently launched its promotional conference for the 135th edition in Dubai. The event saw participation from trade representatives and dignitaries from approximately 80 organizations, including notable entities like Emirates Airlines, alongside a gathering of buyers and business professionals.
Zhang Sihong, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Canton Fair, announced that the upcoming edition of the fair, set for 15th April 2024, will witness an expansion of its exhibition space to 1.55 million square metres. This expansion is designed to offer a more enriched and comprehensive experience for both visitors and exhibitors. With over 28,000 exhibitors expected to participate, the fair presents an unparalleled opportunity for international buyers to enhance their sourcing strategies and foster business collaborations.

Marwan Al Marri, Regional Director of Dubai Chamber in Asia, expressed his enthusiasm about hosting Chinese companies. He highlighted the pivotal role of the Dubai Chamber in driving economic growth in the city and its dedication to fulfilling the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) aimed at elevating foreign trade.
The Canton Fair, established in the spring of 1957 and held biannually in Guangzhou, China, stands as one of the most crucial international trade events globally. Its long-standing history, diverse range of exhibits, and extensive participation from traders and buyers worldwide make it an ideal platform for showcasing the latest products and innovations.
